Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet – 1984 metais Kanadoje susikūrusi instrumentinio roko grupė, priskiriama surf rock stiliui, nors patys muzikantai su tuo nesutiko, išleisdami kūrinį „We’re Not a Fucking Surf Band“.

Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet sudarė būgnininkas Don’as Pyle’as, gitaristas Brian’as Connelly ir bosistas Reid’as Diamond’as. Grupė išleido du albumus, „Dim the Lights, Chill the Ham“ (1991) ir „Sport Fishin': The Lure of the Bait, The Luck of the Hook“ (1993), o taip pat daugybę EP ir singlų. 1992 metais Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet gavo „Juno Award“ kaip geriausia instrumentinė metų grupė. 1996 metais Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet iširo.

Bene žymiausias Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet kūrinys – „Having an Average Weekend“.

Po iširimo Brian’as Connelly sukūrė grupę Heatseekers, o dabar jis roko grupės Atomic 7 lyderis. Don’as Pyle’as ir Reid’as Diamond’as grojo grupėje Phono-Comb. Vėliau Diamond’as grojo Danny & Reid’s Motion Machine, o Pyle’as – duete Greek Buck.
